What Really Happened?

Thylan says...

Heck, if it wasn't in another country, I might go. Got 4 Light sabers somewhere... They're fun to fight with (ones actually snapped at the base due to the force of a friendly dual i had with a guy who did fencing. Educational.)

Besides, looked an interesting place to meet women. And what would the competition be?

NY Jedi - Aerobics for Nerds

Tektonic - New style of dance

fdisk says...

I thought the song and the dance were entertaining enough, but I felt it went better with the music at the end with 10 seconds to go. I think that could have been their real music through the entire session.

With a bit of speed control it could look just as good to this: http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Gorge/6928/peanuts.mid

They do need to stop playing with sticks though (32 seconds till end). That is just going to end up as another shameful light saber kid video.

Drama King

Tandriel says...

Ladies and Gentlemen, we've just seen the video. What we've seen speaks for itself. The videosift website has apparently been taken over - "conquered" if you will - by a master race of overacting praerie dogs. It's difficult to tell from this vantage point whether they will consume the amazing ukulele play or merely own the home made light saber duel. One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; the praerie dogs will soon be top five. And I for one welcome our new rodent overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a yet-to-receive-a-star videosift personality I could be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground video queue.

Ninjas Invade College

NordlichReiter says...

NOT TODAY NINJA! the light saber scene was perfect! At my school i would expect that stuff to happen every day.

The figure drawing teacher is a fire dancer and she was walking the halls with a machete once.

Shes angry. MAybe she is a ninja. LOL! This was funny

Grail Royale

sfjocko says...

corrected, invader. thank you. i had just been watching more of shatner's roast, and my brain was stuck in the greater mashup world, where star trek, monty python, james bond, legos, mario brothers, and green-screen-light-saber Colbert all live under one roof, and i got confused.

Art of the Saber

Anliz says...

Story:

A light saber fight sequence with the flavor of a Hong Kong martial arts action movie. This short is set in a dense forest of an unknown planet, where a young Jedi, eager to fight to help the Revolution, clashes with a Sith Lord in a battle where only one will remain standing. Music by Hans Zimmer, and a monologue extracted from an authentic Civil War love letter written in 1861, help to set the tone for this movie.

This is probably my favorite saber fight out there, simply because they went beyond just putting in a fight and they added an entire good short story with emotion

First Ever Star Wars Trailer

coupland says...

Dag, no these light sabers are pre-original movie. Notice how Dath Vader's saber isn't even red yet. And to vidimeister's point, it's genuinely amazing how boring this trailer is without the Star Wars theme playing in the background. You lose perspective on how great the score really was until you see these scenes without it.

First Ever Star Wars Trailer

dag says...

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

It's interesting to watch this and try to imagine what people were thinking when they saw this trailer in the pre-star wars world. I think they would have thought it was a trippy sci-fi art film like Barbarella.

Also yeah, UmberGryphon - the light sabers looked particularly weak. Is that how they were before the special edition DVDs came out? I can't remember.
