Well you know what cheating mongrels us Aussies can be when there's a sporting competition involved... like the infamous underarm ball - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_FnSfVSG6c

It's really the team and not the driver though. This year each car is required to be fitted with an FIA fuel sensor to ensure that they don't exceed the maximum 100kg/hr fuel flow. In this case, the team found that the sensor was reading a bit high, so complying with it would mean a loss of power... so they changed the ECU settings to ignore it and go with their calculated values instead. They had been told to use the readings from the sensor, but with an offset applied, but chose not to because they felt it was still inaccurate.

The basis for the steward's decision to exclude the car was that "it is not within their discretion to run a different fuel flow measurement method without the permission of the FIA"

I imagine that the basis of their appeal against this decision will be that they did not actually exceed the maximum, it was a sensor error that made it appear that they did so, and that they therefore gained no advantage.

My sources for this are mostly these two articles - http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/ricciardo-excluded-from-melbourne-result/ and http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/red-bull-confident-of-winning-fuel-flow-appeal/

I think it's a hard distinction to make. Religion does improve people's lives. Religion is not the only rallying call for violence.

The problem as I see it, is that while moderate theists, who selectively pick and choose the socially acceptable parts of, say the Bible, may be comforted by their beliefs, their public espousal of their religion gives legitimacy to the fundamentalists who interpret it more literally and don't pick and choose the reasonable passages.

It's a tenuous link, but I don't think you can discount it. The reasonable middle ground here would be for moderate organisations to refute certain religious scripture, say the infamous Leviticus passages, The problem is, they don't because it then allows any section of the text to be called into question, instead choose to passively ignore them. This is where I start to have a problem.

When you consider Germany's infamous history with guns and the power used with them to manipulate their people's recent legacy it's not that "terribly" sad. Sad as it may be, Germany's pogroms of Jews rate higher on the WTF scale than the U.S.'s 'purging of the indigenous' genocide as far as shock value is concerned.

German's like the Japanese were kept in an international box after the second world war and their toys were put in a box as well that read, "Don't open till we say so."

Except for the Yakuza, Japan simply forgot they had a fucking toy box and but I believe you can hunt squirrels with a rifle if yer a good German these days...

I suppose for a Japan video this is redundant, but ... that was f*cking weird, man.

My first year in Thailand, I was in (the infamous) Pattaya for a short trip. Just as I was getting used to seeing 70+ year old Western men with 2-3 young attractive Thai girls on their arms, I saw an ~85ish year old Western woman with a walker, oxygen tank and lines running to her nose flanked by a total of 4 female "escorts". At the time, I thought ... wow, that is messed up.

But cuddle cafes where you can pay lots of money for the privilege of staring deeply into a stranger's eyes? Now that is messed up.

@Ryjkyj-Thanks for the research, and Hayward,California explains a lot... What a shithole that place is...San Leandro, Freemont...yucky east bay towns with plenty'o gang-banger action types....

Translation: Your research on the location and particular type of public space has been quite helpful, and serves for myself,to clarify the motivation of the antagonist in this segment: I can personally attest to the roguish character of some of the more colorful examples in The Freemont, Hayward, and San Leandro cities in the "east bay" area of Alemeda county, United States, your average poor,working-class with no small element of infamous "member's only" organizations.

How's the vernacular now, judgey? More to yer particular frame of deference?? (busting your balls)
