Xbox One unveil highlights

Also, it restricting used games isn't rumour anymore. You have to install games and then that disc is locked to your account. If you buy a used game, you have to pay MS, i think they said $10, to be able to then lock it to a different account. To be honest, that's not so bad, it's not like Nintendo where it's locked to a fucking console instead of an account, and you can change it. I just wonder if the publishers get the money or if MS hogs it all.

The worst news is that they will not be supporting Indie devs beyond what they do with the 360. Typical short sighted move by MS. If PS4 supports indies like Steam and Apple does, there's a massive potential there!

... and putting that on my computer felt like leaving a child of my own in the Jonestown daycare center.
I felt dirty afterwards. I had to take a Steam bath. That's where you load up Steam and download a bunch of indie games to scrub yourself with.

Mercedes AMG - Pit stop training with Hamilton & Rosberg

oritteropo says...

During the race they do front wing adjustments, same as indy cars, so it makes sense to practice this too.

A 4 second pit stop isn't terribly fast compared to their competitors. The top teams are training their pit crews and attempting to match McLaren's 2.4 seconds... giving away three seconds over the course of the race is as much as 15-20 individual car improvements, or half a tenth per lap.

I'm sure those guys are paid well to be able to change a tire under 4 seconds.

3 guys per tire.
2 guys running jacks, 1 in front 1 in rear
2 guys doing something to the front wings doing what?

Am I a hipster if I say that my $25 Aeropress® makes a better cup? Of course I got mine back before they were cool. You probably wouldn't understand, it's kind of an indy thing.

I'm always behind the curve by a few months, in some cases even years, but still, here's the short version:

My favorite MOVIE this year was "The Intouchables", hands down. Only the French can come up with such a captivating story.

As for GAMES, well, since I have played just two AAA titles this year, my favorite has to be an indie game, unsurprisingly. "FTL: Faster Than Light" was a blast. Perma death rarely works in favour of a game, but in this case, it became the foundation of the thrill FTL provides.
"Deadlight" was also fun, very stylish, but not extraordinary. And "X Rebirth" was postponed once again, so it'll be my game of the year 2013 instead.

TV was just the same ol', MUSIC as well.

BOOKS is a hard one. Or maybe not. A cursory check of my collection tells me I haven't read a single book that was published this year.

Yeah, it was meant to be F1 cars; but Bernie Ecclestone (F1 commercial rights holder) decided against it, as he thought Stallone would give F1 a bad name.

He was right: It earned seven nominations at the 22nd Golden Raspberry Awards, including Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Screenplay, Worst Screen Couple (Burt Reynolds and Sylvester Stallone) and twice for Worst Supporting Actor (Reynolds and Stallone), with Estella Warren winning Worst Supporting Actress (also for Planet of the Apes).

List of F1, Indy car and CART drivers in the film:
Jean Alesi
Michael Andretti
Kenny Bräck
Patrick Carpentier
Cristiano Da Matta
Adrian Fernández
Christian Fittipaldi
Dario Franchitti
Luiz Garcia Jr.
Mauricio Gugelmin
Michel Jourdain Jr.
Tony Kanaan
Juan Pablo Montoya
Roberto Moreno
Max Papis
Oriol Servia
Alex Tagliani
Paul Tracy
Jimmy Vasser
Jacques Villeneuve

Here is an Excelent Racing movie: Grand Prix (1966)

It won the Academy Award Oscar for: Best Effects / Sound Effects, Best Film Editing, Best Sound in 1967.

It's the only Official F1 movie. The sound is quite incredibly. There is a scene in the movie; as they race around the streets of Monaco, with a Panavision 65mm camera strapped to the hood of the car.

All the best,
ZDM

Thanks for the *promote

There haven't been enough movies featuring racing cars, and even more so for F1. The French film Taxi (or taxi driver, or something like that) purported to have F1 cars, but they looked more like F3000 to me, there were a few others spread over many years... and then there's Rush and the Senna film all at once - life is good

Wasn't the Stallone one featuring Indy cars?

Pfft. Looks like an unrealistic depiction of Formula One motor sport.

Where is Sylvester Stallone, doing a 500 meter power drift. Where he picked up 3 nickels on the track, with the back tire; on an oval racing track (it's a mandatory part of F1 qualifying; since the great evening wear debacle ("wardrobe malfunction incident"), to weed out slow drivers).

I guess I'll *promote. No big whoop; wanna fight about it?

They are vintage instruments, and I don't believe your standard music shop will repair them. Sometimes a little bit of pitcy-ness in vintage instruments is considered charming and nostalgic, hence the popularity of out of tune upright pianos in indy music. Also, overblowing or underblowing can push the instrument sharp or flat. >> ^chingalera:

So...whys the melodica kinna flat???
