I question if they are really making a plasma here... (at least at first.) I think the microwaves may just be causing the phosphor in the bulb to fluoresce.

There are techniques to make plasma in a microwave, that require a carbon source (just put out candle works well). When the bulb blows at the end, I wonder if the filament in the bulb works like that...

Fluorescent bulbs (and neon, probably) will light up near any strong electric field from the induced current, but that's not "plasma" either.

Meh... nothing will top microwaving a CD and getting the spider-web pattern of sparks. ^_-

Owls definitely hunt by sound but not echo-location. That would require them to make sound, which is the opposite of what they do. Their wings have micro filaments on the trailing edges to smooth air flow and quiet their wing beats. Their hunting is more like using passive sonar then active sonar that echo-location implies. Also in general their eye sight at night is no better than humans. Great Horned Owls like those on the show have talons as large as man-fists and the killing power of a bald eagle. They've been known to eat cats and kill foxes.

Cool to see that owl respond to her like that. Glad it didn't try to mount her.

He needs some string of surgical steel filament and some diamond/carbide yo-yo's with little centripetal-activated blades....he could get a bodyguard job with some Yakuza....
