Hooray! Free Aquavit and elk sausage all around! And keep the classic rock coming! I know you also has a little place in you heart for Steely Dan, which is all I need to make me happy. That, and the fact that you now are halfway to a crown! Woohoo!

I've had moose/elk come up so close I could touch them before. It's pretty unusual that a cow with calf does anything like this though, as they tend to be more careful/nervous.

And hunting moose with a bow (if that is what they're doing) seems totally irresponsible.

Rasch was leaving for some engagement this upcoming weekend, so it was either now or delay it for awhile longer. If the current users sidebar is any indication everyone is still visiting the sift (as if these pack of nerds would go anywhere they didn't have 24/7 internet access). I just think between Rasch's threat of violence, postmortem violation and the lopped off elk head in his blog folk have just been too frightened to respond.

Too many of you having flash backs of when the school yard bully pulled your scoobydoo underoos over your head? Are you really scared of a man who looks like he could be the dorky comic relief on some Saturday morning kid's show? Someone so afraid of telling an off color joke, that if they had any super power it would be to change their skin color so they could 'get away' with it? And such a gigantic wuss he doesn't eat ice cream because he's probably afraid of brain freeze. There's nothing to fear so stop cowering in your piss soaked corner and tear him a new one!

I'll edit it to read "most mammals" to please you. I have yet to find a person who would have rather been aborted than live. On second thought, don't elk still breast-feed? Herd yes, mom yes? Educate me. Kindly point out the mammal(s) that don't breast feed or don't require any motherhood after birth.

^ALL mammals eh?

How about elk? Within hours an elk calf can run with the herd.

Your misinterpretation of "the right to life" is the source of almost every problem we have had in the last 100 years--including our current economic crisis. Crazy to think that philosophy could affect the economy eh? I can explain this to you, but we would have to do it somewhere else than here because its going to take a while. Alternatively, you could just read "free to chose" by Milton Friedman--he explains it pretty well.

To keep it simple and on topic--you claim:

1. liberty is "the right to chose" (i agree)
2. humans have "the right to life" and you interpret this to mean, everyone has the right to survive-right?

rights are contracts between men, thus men must ensure human rights.

1. if you place a baby in a room full of people, that baby will die unless cared for.
2. if the baby has the right to survive, someone must take care of it.
3. if nobody wants to care for the baby, by your logic, they are all violating the baby's right to survive.
4. the only way to ensure the baby's right to life in this situation, would be to force one of the people to take care of it.
5. forcing someone to care for the baby would ensure its right to survive, but at the same time violate that person's right to chose.

that is why anti-abortion is not compatible with a pro-liberty stance.

Dead Animals and The Sift: Why I am a Vegetarian (Parody Talk Post)

kronosposeidon says...

How do you feel about people who hunt and eat there own meat? I live in Wyoming, and I can assure you that a fair number of people here do just that. During hunting season they'll take down a couple of elks and deer, butcher them up, put the meat in the deep freeze, and then slowly consume it over the year until the next hunting season. They also eat the fish they catch. I mention this because you mentioned how the meat we buy in the store is so processed, and that's totally fair. But an elk that's been eating nothing but what it finds in the forest is about as clean as it gets, and it's low in fat. Also consider the fact that animals like elk, deer, moose, and buffalo eat stuff that we can't digest (like grass, leaves, and clover), so eating their meat does not rob the Earth of grains that could feed the masses.

Just so you know, I don't hunt. I don't even own a gun. I'm just saying.

"Don't forget to feed the pussy."
