World's smallest personal helicopter
What's gonna happen if the rotors become unbalanced for some reason?? The neck is the first line of defense for the spine, eh?
Yeah stukafox, if Hitler signed off on those frikkin' dragonfly one-man bombers that need no airstrip, he'd a seen these and ordered them into producktshun in time for the invasion of Poland....
Since people here seem to like macro photos, I give you some of my work. (Blog Entry by MarineGunrock)
I think it was a dragonfly that was in the web.
Certain insects aren't very skiddish - dragon flys will fly around for a bit, but when they land they stay put for a minute of two. Also, it helps to have a good lens - mine was $550. And mlx, PM me your email and I'll send you what I have.

Just superb. I really love that spider photo. Any idea what was spun up in it's web?
I've never even attempted macro photography before. Do you essentially sit with the lens focused on a stick and hope for a dragonfly to land in your shot? I can't imagine any other way to get such a close-up shot in nature than that.

World's first wing-flapping robot
Actually, Krupo, you're more right than you could imagine. This is not the world's first wing-flapping robot, nor is it the world's first dragonfly robot. The CIA invented a dragonfly robot with a camera attached to it, I remember seeing an exhibit of it at the CIA museum.
