Holy crap - she's good. Wrapping in the flag and dripping with valour - probably the only way a Demo will win in a place like Kentucky.

It is still the best demo and soundtrack from the scene! Btw, it is almost 20 years. The demo came out in 1993.

The little microbeads effectively prevent large surface areas of their purple material from fully flattening and sticking to adjacent purple material surfaces. So its a lubricant to keep their bed from sticking to itself. That's my assumption at least.

Probably safe enough unless someone was purposefully sleeping on the disassembled mattress and inhaling a lot of the plastic, in which case they could have some lung irritation.

Their R&D and Marketing teams should be working late nights putting together demos of exactly how much of this plastic micro-bead powder makes it up through their covering. I'm thinking demos of people in pristine black clothes jumping on the bed then laying on it, then getting up to demonstrate no dust on them through the mattress pad. They also should be looking at comping people better mattress pads if they still have concerns. Just my read of the situation.

Not that I don't think there has been a tendency to stifle discussion through the abuse of "poltical correctness", but honestly, sometimes the "precious snowlflakes" thing seems like a more apt to description of the anti-SJW crowd that seem more butthurt that some people disagree with them than the people they offend.

You won't see any commercials BLAZING THE TRAIL on social justice issues... but i view these ads as a social barometer. They'll come along after the trail is blazed and take a snapshot of public opinion, which... has some value. Some exec somewhere had to do the research and figure out, well damn, turns out more than 50% of our demo cares about this, so... so do we!

What? Ps3 was good? pfft... all of the games in the series has been shit. However this is loosly based on them, and I have a soft spot for girls in mini skirts wielding big swords so I will wait for the reviews. The demo has been released but won't be able to tell how tactic progression works or if the game plays the same from the first fight to the last until the final is reviewed. It is on my list of games I am interested in for 2017 which is filled with many Japanese releases, hopefully they actually come out. Right now my one and only ps4 game that I had interest in getting is FF15. I have a gaming pc for everything else that came out.

It's not clear yet how many items are using RFID. They say they are using "computer vision, sensor fusion, and deep learning" akin to what is used in self-driving cars.

So there are some concerns if you pickup an item then put it back in the wrong place, will it detect it was still left in the store, or will it charge you? Putting it back in the right spot, refunds you, but it's not obvious otherwise.

We really need to know more from the Amazon employees that are using it.

It sounds a lot like Minority Report style stuff going on, and I think it is more a tech demo than a full concept they'll carry out in mass. The information on the path the customer takes, what they get and all that is probably worth a ton, and helps offset other costs with the system... though most of those costs are offset by having fewer employees... We are quickly reaching what CGP Grey noted in his video *relate=http://videosift.com/video/Humans-Need-Not-Apply where we need less and less people to do the lower end jobs... and those shelves look like they can be filled from the back, which is easier on robots.

Don't like the music, but like the visual. It reminds me of the demo scenes!

I liked them back then because they were great technical marvels and had great mod music. Now they show the same 3d effects we see all the time with bad looking 3d models and pre recorded music. Just not the same anymore. I do like the 4k and 64k demo compos though, that takes skill.

Was? Why did you stop? I'm a still a fan. I still watch top ranked demos posted on http://pouet.net on weekends. Yes, they aren't good as the old days, but still fun.

there is a multi part series of the demoscene? Awesome! Softsubs look good, not google translated crap. I was such a big fan of the pc demo scene, it was the driving force behind my drive to get better audio components for my pc.
