Isn't this just a type of non-Newtonian fluid like cornstarch or silly putty?

I use cornstarch water in cooking as a thickening agent. I hope it never comes out and attacks me Note to self: keep it away from any noise.

Couch Cushion Stew

Ingredients
1/4 pound of cubed couch cushion
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 cups water
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
4 carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces
4 stalks celery, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 large onion, chopped
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons cold water

Directions

1.In a large pot or dutch oven, cook couch cushion in oil over medium heat until gooey. Stir in rosemary, parsley and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour.
2.Stir potatoes, carrots, celery, and onion into the pot. Dissolve cornstarch in 2 teaspoons cold water and stir into stew. Cover and simmer 1 hour more.

STARVING NOW! Man, I love a good hotdog. My favorite: all meat chili (none of that cornstarch chili mess, and NO BEANS!), onions (preferably cooked), mustard and cole slaw. It's called the Carolina Dog.

I've shaken cornstarch and it's normal, it's only when you add water that it acts weird..............right?
