Two things I haven't been a fan of so far, and they're both intentional choices that Moffat has gone with.
1. The movie poster idea. It doesn't have the same feel as the rest of the series and it removes the sense of serial-ness/continuity to the season.
2. The Ponds are not continuous companions. This is a problem to me. It was revealed in the "Waters of Mars" special that the Doctor MUST have a companion to balance out his power - to "humanize" him, so to speak. Having him simply "check in" on them doesn't feel like it honors this previous internal struggle they worked so hard to show in the Doctor's personality in years past.
I understand that these are choices that Moffat has made, and I tremendously respect him as a writer (see: TinTin and Sherlock), but I just don't like the direction these choices have taken this year so far.


I think they have alluded to the fact that it's not a good thing he's been on his own Amy even says "this is what happens when you travel alone too long", and my best guess is that this will be instrumental in their downfall.

Some of those people look like they got lost on their way to Comic Con.

The Texas Renaissance Festival in in Montgomery county just north of Magnolia, Tx. in Todd Mission,Tx. (mapfart) -It's touted by organizers to be the biggest such event in the country...Lotta fun, great place for the whole family, plenty to do and see and EAT!

3 sifters are in Dallas, the only other I know besides myself lives not too far from Houston, where I'm at...

Anywhere we hold it it's gonna mean some driving.

Or just pay admission and stroll and check out everything, food vendors galore, stuff to do....

Renfest rocks and you can stay all day and night, and there's massive brews, music, dancing, staged-events...great costumes, plenty of comic-con-type costumes, some extremely elaborate and well-made. Always a winner, Renfest.

Or we could do one of those trough buffets like a Golden Corral and crash the place and build a drunken mountain outta mac n cheese and chicken tendorz.....$12.95 to get thrown out of a Golden Corral??? Priceless.

Agreed. Season 2 was a big of a drag. So long as they push the pace up this could be very good. Great material there, so long as... <slight spoilers follow>

... so long as they get The Governor and Michonne right. I had him as a Dennis Hopper type, played nasty by Antonio Banderas, or maybe Michael Wincott a la The Crow, but anyone straight out of Deliverance (the film, or the idea) would work.
