rebuilderMy desktop is a solid 50% gray so it doesn't mess with my colour perception, no icons apart from drive mounts (only because I haven't bothered to find out how to remove those) and then a taskbar on top, dock on bottom.
I don't see why I'd want to keep anything at all on the desktop since it's always going to be covered by any number of windows anyway. The desktop is probably the least convenient place to keep any icons.
