The Last 90 Seconds of The Planet of the Apes -Classic SciFi
qm, dunno...but I was enraged enough for him. grrr
edit: Charlton Heston had a cameo in the remake. I don't remember the details...he was like a scribe, or elder something or another.
Thankfully my memories of Tim Burton's version are fading. Abomination!

The Best Pub Team in the World
Yes, they are the superstars. The names spoken in awe in some cases. Allan Ball and Bobby Charlton were both on the 1966 teeam that beat Germany 4-2 in the World Cup final. I was 4 at the time and I still recognize the names. So in that context it's a rather understated advert and a bit of an inside joke for the older folks who recognize all of them. Imagine if you turned up to play football here at the very lowest level (pub football is old guys having a bit of fun) and the other team were ALL the best known names from the last 40 years in the hall of fame...
The Best Pub Team in the World
Just like the US, they show the full version a couple of times and then just outtakes on subsequent versions. Slice of life? But then you probably don't know that the team manager is Sir Bobby Robson and the team was Bobby and Jackie Charlton (brothers), Peter Reid - ex Man city, Peter Beardsley, Brian Robson, Stuart "Psycho" Pearce, Peter Shilton, Des Walker, Chris Waddle, Alan Ball and Terry Butcher. Meaningless to most yanks, but household names in the UK from the last 40 years.
