I assume this is another Blur Studios trailer... amazing quality as always. The game is being made by a different developer than the first two, which were done by Rocksteady. I think I read that the same engine was being used and Rocksteady provided some feedback and support... so I'm still pretty optimistic about the game being as good as the previous ones.

It's not being made by Bethesda, they're just the publisher. The developer, Human Head Studios, is a bit of a rarity in still being independent. Look, it breaks down like this.

Actually, the trailer was done by Scottish animation studio Axis Animation. Story here. The game however will be developed by Techland, a polish developer best known for the Call of Juarez series.

It's very unusual for CG trailers to be made by the same people who make games these days; generally they are contracted out by the publisher to other companies that specialize in high quality CG. For example, Blur Studio does brilliant work, and was responsible for the trailers for games like Mass Effect 3, Bioshock Infinite, Arkham City, Fable III, Warhammer online, ect. Players don't generally know this, because developers take no pains to credit them.

Maybe some one should throw Axis Animation and Techland into the tags.

... and The Man justifies himself. When the advertisement is longer than the video, I have a problem, epic or not. Upvote still because the review is spot on, and whoever thinks that watching yourself die for 5 minutes is fun in a video game should have to watch themselves die for 5 minutes IRL and then asked in Valhalla, "Was it as awesome as you thought." However good an ad is it shouldn't be forced into these videos. The exapist noticed one part of their site is getting more hits, *cough* sifties *cough* so they inseminate it with ads, makes sense but I disapprove anyway. It's like a rider in a legislative bill except we don't get the cool line-item-veto option. Only we kinda do, cuz we don't have to watch the whole thing. Plus it's at the end at least, not the beginning or, Odin forbid, wedged in the middle. If the ad is that cool, make it it's own video and maybe we'll upvote that. Seriously tho, 4 minutes of video and 6 minutes of ads? Jeez it's like the publisher had scissors in his eyes or something.

PS: Can't decide if I would check out the game his mash-up ad describes at the 9:30 mark.

I think the decision to pull the video is not a good one, seeing as how Blur Studios (the creator of this short) is getting a hella lot of attention for it...but oh well.

RTS games have really evolved since. Especially with Company of Heroes.

The intro was done by Blur Studios, whenever you see a game with an impressive cinematic, it's probably them. You can read up on the development of this cinematic at CG Society.
