Apparently it was a russian Superleague game between Ak Bars Kazan and Traktor Chelyabinsk at the Tatneft Arena in Kazan on January 8, 2008 and 378 Penalty minutes were given out.

The film was recorded on October 17-20, 1996 in Portland, Oregon then released in 1997. The film was directed by Jem Cohen.
