It's called a dress code, Kevin!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pogue
wikipedia: "Pogue is American pejorative military slang for non-infantry staff, and other rear-echelon or support units. "Pogue" frequently applies to those who do not have to undergo the risk and stresses of combat as the infantry does."
Well stated.
Now, what's a "poge"?
The Pogues "Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah"
A sad footnote, I just read that Phil Chevron died of cancer in 2013. He wrote some great songs like "Thousands are Sailing".
And "Rabinga", from the "Straight To Hell" soundtrack. That was a bizarre movie, with The Pogues, Joe Strummer, Courtney Love, Dennis Hopper, Grace Jones in a spaghetti western in Almeria, Spain.
Irish People Taste Test Thanksgiving Food
My first trip overseas from the U.S. was to Dublin in 1991 and I was enthralled by the Irish people, their accent, the street signs in Gaelic and pretty much everything else. It was great to be in the land of James Joyce, the Pogues, Clannad and U2. I almost had to remind myself at first that this is not some kind of Disneyland exhibit, that this is the way they are and have always been. Then I bought a "sausage roll" from a snack shop which turned out to be a big chunk of spam. Brought me right back to reality.
The internet has me convinced all Irish people are awesome. Every single video i see.

Given I normally hit you with Wham's Last Christmas (so cheesy it's good), I thought you might appreciate one of the few Christmas songs worth playing (the other being the Pogues' Fairytale of New York).

Many thanks! I only ever heard the instrumental medley clip from the "Fall from Grace" release, I didn't know this existed. I always wanted to master the melody on the guitar or piano, I love the way it flows. Thanks again.

How about showing us "Rocky Road to Dublin" now? The Pogues do a great instrumental version of it.

Safari & VideoSift bad bedfellows (Sift Talk Post)
I had trouble watching video with Safari back in 2006, so back then I switched to Firefox for most browser activity. At that time it was causing Safari to crash.
bf, I found this David Pogue post that puts the blame on Adobe:
