Everything Israel Is Saying About Iran Now... We Said About
this is reality:
http://videosift.com/video/Theres-No-Tomorrow
any world leader with half a brain understands this.
and top military US brass agree that Iran is a "rational" actor
http://videosift.com/video/RealNews-US-General-Iran-a-Rational-Actor-but-is-US-one
Would Iran attack Israel in order to secure a piece of desert with no resources? Unlikely at best. Israel is closely allied with the greatest military power the world has ever seen, and has a stockpile of nuclear weapons. It would be instant suicide for Iran. But for Israel, past hostilities with arab nations has been an opportunity to expand their small country and expel non-jews from their territory.
For Iran, if we look at a longer timeline, which is what older civilizations are more likely to do, power will shift in the future to those that control the most important resources.
If you are Israel, your preference is probably for the US to go in and take out any potential threats now and control as many resources as possible, rather than wait for a world-wide oil glut to empower Iran and financially ruin their biggest ally - the US.
As for the spread of Islam, like most religions, it closely follows a spread of poverty, and the poorer nations of the world are still reproducing at a higher rate as human life is a labor commodity.
But in the future, who your god looks like will be trumped by much more primary necessities, namely food. And for states - internal stability.
Historical amnesia and Gaza
It's sure the hell better than FOX(gag), CNN and MSNBC. I still find they have a bias, but at least they are vastly more informative at the same time.
This particular interview though isn't enormously enlightening like most of RealNews presentations. This interviewee states there is no question Israel couldn't pull this offensive off without American military aid. If Israel is only $3 billion dollars away from being unable to even field an operation this small, they are the biggest underdog in the entire Middle East. They of course are the singularly strongest military in the region and losing US aid would only make them the strongest by a smaller margin.
The Next Depression? Peter Schiff on the REALnews
>> ^garmachi:
Oh, and we're going to do a story about how money is meaningless, and then ask for some.
They never said anything about money being meaningless. Schiff said that our current policies may lead to the Dollar being mostly worthless... not the same thing.
I like watching videos of Schiff predicting exactly what is happening now while others laugh and make fun of him. Was he just lucky, or does he truly understand what is going on? He definitely has a point about people's savings though. What happens if prices start rising and most people have very little stockpiled to counteract the increased cost (not sure on the likelihood of this though)?
Hopefully Obama will be able to help things, but if he's really set on keeping companies alive artificially then it could make things worse.
WikiLeaks: Your Source: Information they dont tell you (Wtf Talk Post)
Much more interesting than TYT, the realnews, and other such divertimento....Who's brainchild/death sentence is this????
Iraq story buried by US networks
The lack of coverage by big media is, sadly, nothing new. It's great to see it condemned, though I think the daily show manages to do so more effectively, and it's a comedy program. I like the RealNews(all news actually) better when it's doing news rather than editorializing.
As for reading more into the lack of Iraq coverage as to any pro-war agenda, remember that the media's short attention span is equal opportunity with everything. The Iraq-Iran war, the gassing of the Kurds, Cambodia, Serbia, Rwanda and so on.

Olbermann: They're making it all up about Iran!
Yeah, I see that now, just got two in a row from him in under 5 mins, one supposedly because its from realnews.com, then this one for coming from votersthink.org.
He's gonna be using the ol' downvote a lot between those two.
