Sarah Palin Confuses Supporters With Hecklers

quantumushroom says...

I guess the left-wing fascists with nothing better to do (like jobs) following Sarah around didn't get the memo about "welcoming all points of view".

No matter. These modern attempts to rage against the machine couldn't overthrow a Teddy Ruxpin.

Thanks Danny,
And I will be posting some more interesting vids of various musicians who I deem worthy (some of which can already be found on my Youtube account, Hooghoudt76)
Just hope you all can enjoy a little 'classical' music every once in a while.

^ This self link nonsense is conducted with a witch-hunt attitude (not in this case) and an over zealous nature (in this case) at times. He said it wasn't his video, why are we still discussing it when the guy has only just broken probation? Hardly requiring deep thought and a "hmmmm i'll let you off" attitude, if he'd done it 4 or 5 times at once i could understand. How about these people creating their own little voting circles with music video spam? That's far more fair and reasonable, right?

Rage Against the Machine RNC - 09.02.08 (Speech + Acapella)

thinker247 says...

It would only be a cop-out if I failed to explain my position fully, or evaded the question entirely. I thought I fulfilled my obligation, though.

And I would like a follow-up to the words "but still." Don't stop debating with me now, MINK.

>> ^MINK:
yeah that is a coherent and valid copout, but still.

Personally, I don't give a shit either way. I can advocate violence without moving from my seat, because I'm not advocating anything for myself. I'm merely suggesting a better alternative for those in this video who are willing to stand up and do something to fight against their "oppressors." I'm offering a solution that doesn't involve standing in front of a group of musicians and chanting along with whatever they say. I love Rage Against the Machine, but when the crowd mimics their every word like a bunch of lemmings, it bothers me. Because they're not really doing anything. I'll bet you that most of those people didn't change a goddamned thing that day. But they all went home and said, "I listened to RATM live and a cappella!"

I could transfer a message to millions of people by shooting a bunch of people in a McDonald's. Within minutes, every 24-hour news station would be focused on Boise, Idaho, and my "message" would be sent to millions around the world. But that wouldn't mean they couldn't change the channel a second later and shrug their shoulders, saying to themselves, "Another one? Wow. Oh well, time for my coffee break!" So it's not transferring a message that is important; it's how the action of that message is activated. But what does it matter if that message is sent to millions of people who turn the channel to Spongebob Squarepants? That's what millions do every day, and that's what our President does, because he loves Spongebob.

So I sit at home and quietly wait for the government to eventually destroy everything for which our predecessors worked so hard. Does it bother me? Yes, to an extent. But I know that in the end I really don't care that much either way. I'm a bit of a pessimist and an apathetic figure, if you must know. But at least I'm honest. I'd really hate myself if I advocated violence and then sat at home, hoping someone else would do it for me. But that's not me. Oh, time for my coffee break.

>> ^MINK:
weird how people write pathetic internet comments about how there should be an armed revolution, while sitting on their asses.
you're just embarassed here by someone actually doing something, actually transferring their message to millions of people... because you personally don't do shit.

As long as they first obtain a protest permit, then a revolution permit. Wouldn't want to overthrow the government illegally, right?

>> ^Abducted:
Be a true patriot and overthrow your government! The way the founding fathers wanted it to be done, with blood flowing!
