Soldiers who think? Holy Shit!
Given that the training process is to create detached killing machines. I read the below book thinking I would gain some new insight into the training of soldiers, only to find that it reaffirmed my previous conceptions. The general conception is that soldiers don't think, and shouldn't think. Imagine if soldiers trained critical thinking skills? How many orders, would be called into question.
