Oh my gosh what a terrible documentary.

The bit where the "aliens" cropped a picture of themselves into a field along with some reply to information we sent out to space made me laugh. COME ON. Aliens travel billions of miles across the Universe and pick up our radiowaves. So they pop down and instead of, you know, replying with the same radiowaves, they use Microwaves and Electromagnets and shiz to knock down patterns in our crops before disappearing off into the night sky. Yep, definitely sounds plausible, but hey, maybe thats how how they communicate with each other on Xen, how the fuck should I know.

I think there was one rational mind in the whole thing: the journalist towards the end. It could have been an interesting documentary about REAL evidence for cropcircle phenomena, if indeed any exists at all, instead they trotted out these people with ridiculous claims and beliefs which overshadowed any real evidence there might be. If there isn't any evidence? Well, find some evidence for the man-made theory and give the documentary a different spin. Documenataries full of claims and without any fact are just awful.

Seriously, after UsesProzac's behavior on this thread, how come there aren't more ban votes? She is not at all sorry for her abuse and is even proud of causing all this trouble, and now she's essentially saying that thepinky should die. If you argued earlier that this doesn't matter because it's not on public threads, then that argument is moot now that UsesProzac has brought her vitriol into a public discussion.

thepinky may not want UsesProzac to be punished, but UP's behavior violates the Abuse Guidelines in the FAQ. Even if thepinky is fine with it, a significant amount of other users are not. Unless you are willing to defend UP's actual original comment, you can't seriously argue that she wasn't harassing or at the very least intending to harass thepinky.

Too many are focusing on burdturgler. Sure, he completely bungled his argument and ruined his own credibility with his own personal attacks, but that doesn't excuse UP's behavior.

Oh my gosh. I MUST have seen this when I was a kid. I don't remember it, but my Mom said when I was really little we were in a mall and I got mad and started yelling "help! This is not my Mom!". She said she ran out to the car w/ me and explained what would happen if people believed me. I would get taken away. Apparently I never did it again. Isn't that horrrible?

What I dislike most about him is how he WANTS to be funny and wears that greasy grin so everyone can see how "amusing" these toys are to him, while inside he is seriously thinking "how could they produce this?? it's so obscene! oh my gosh, my high ethical standards are getting hurt".
