Stephen Fry on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson
>> ^harry:
Seeing this combination... I guess Ferguson seems one of the few British comedians to cross over? Maybe Simon Pegg and Ricky Gervais count as well, but it does suddenly strike me how little overlap there is between British and American comedy.
EDIT: And Hugh Laurie.
I don't think that Craig Ferguson was particularly popular in the UK, at least not outside Scotland. I (from the UK) hadn't heard of him before seeing him on VS. Looking on Wikipedia, it seems that he had a TV programme made over here, but only a one off pilot that didn't make it to a series.

Jimmy Carr: Audience doesn't "get it" on The Late Late Show
>> ^Kreegath:
Didn't find him that funny, so I understand the audience reaction. Not sure if that's enough of a reason to constitute a downvote though, so will just abstain from voting on it.
You kidding? That was some great material! Do you not normally find him funny? Jimmy Carr's style does have a tendency to put people off to begin with, so at least I'd understand if you don't.

David Letterman Talks About Blackmail
>> ^xxovercastxx:
Considering his first marriage ended in 1977 and he didn't remarry until 2009, and that he began hosting "this show" (The Late Show) in 1993, it's rather likely that no infidelity was involved, at least on Dave's part. Even Late Night debuted in 1982, so he'd already have been divorced.
He's been with Regine Lasko since 1988, so infidelity was involved.
David Letterman Talks About Blackmail
Y'know, if it happens on the Late Show, it must've also been happening on the the other late night shows (Carson, Leno, O'Brien, Ferguson, Kimmel, Fallon, Daly...)

Richard Dawkins on The Late Late Show, 18.09.09 (1 of 2)
The host is Ryan Tubridy - who I'm pretty sure agrees with every word coming out of Dawkins mouth. (I listen to his very entertaining radio show And this is IRISH. Dawkins isn't a household name here and the main demographic for the Late Late show is the going-to-mass-every-sunday type. I think that in terms of who the audience was this interview wasn't all that bad.
Regarding the priest: IRELAND. There's always a priest in the audience...
