Wow, in a couple of short days the Engineering channel has over 16 pages of videos. Of course I realize that many people, just like me, reviewed all their videos and retroactively applied the Engineering tag, but that's still very impressive. I've always thought that the "Geek" channel was too broad. However, could you tell me when something is Geek and NOT Engineering, or the other way around, or both? To me, "Geek" ALWAYS means enthusiast of some sort or another. For example, there are comic book "geeks", but that has nothing to do with engineering. However computer design is both geek AND engineering. Can you name examples of anything that is Engineering but NOT Geek, besides what I already mentioned?

In other words, I'm a little confused. Maybe a Venn diagram would help. Gorgonheap is the maestro of the Geek channel; maybe you and he need to draw up a Sift Talk post that clearly defines what both defines and delineates your channels. I would appreciate it.

I hope I'm not coming across as an anal-retentive anus. I only want to be precise in my channel assignments.

^Funny, I thought the same thing. Now LARPing that's a bit too werid for me. But I could stand this. So long as I don't hear "LIGHTING BOLT! LIGHTING BOLT!" at any time during the event.

I do recommend people seeing this film. It's really good. Instead it being a comedy focusing on LARPing dorks, it actually portrays (almost) everyone as a normal human being and doesn't poke fun at them (which they could have easily done, some parts are still laughable) and actually is a fairly serious documentary. My only caveat with it was that they only focus on a small handful of what is literally hundreds of players over the past 30 years.

I hate Valentines Day, for a lot of the same reasons as the girl, and i'm not single. I dunno, poor thing has set herself right up to be brought down by judgemental fuckers like ourselves. Still, like you say kommie, she IS asking for it :F

No problem. Somethings are just to obscure and under appreciated to make it to the front page. Picnicface is a lot better then most of the crap that gets outta the queue.

you're most welcome. I would have nominated it sooner, but I've been absent a alot these past couple of months. Great post. You know this post got me and my husband to spend hours one night searching for more LARPing vids cause this one was so funny.
I'll have to find you this one we saw of an edited version of this one....it had special effects added. Great stuff.
