The bear suit was originally imagined as a way to study bears up close in relative safety. It even has a shoulder mounted video camera.

Troy Hurtubise is actually having a lot of problems right now, because the military would rather use Halliburton or the like at a cost 100fold that of Troy's suit.

"In early February, after failing to receive any offers to buy the Trojan, Hurtubise - now bankrupt from the expense of creating the suit - was forced to put the prototype up for auction on eBay in the hopes that it will bring in enough money to sustain his family."
