Gorgar and Firepower - pinball awesomeness

ponceleon says...

AWW MAN! We also had the Adams Family one at some point in the dorm. Definitely after the Earthshaker days, but that one was Awesome! I think the one we hate was the Dr. Who one. It was really over-done and had this weird platform in the middle which would raise and lower if I remember correctly. The Bram's Stoker's Dracula one was okay, but mostly because of the movie quotes which were so hilariously dopey. All in all though, Earthshaker was the king of pinball machines back in North House... the good ol' days.

Did you just misunderstand Gary Oldman?

Love Song For A Vampire - Annie Lennox

BoneyD says...

Keannu Reaves was the only thing I had a problem with in the film. Don't mind the guy, it's just that playing a Brit was not something he could pull off.

Gary Oldman was brilliant as Dracula, though. So was Hopkins for Van Helsing.

Murders in the Rue Morgue - Trailer

silvercord says...

Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932) is a Universal Pictures pre-Code horror film loosely based on an Edgar Allan Poe short story. Bela Lugosi, one year after his legendary performance as Dracula, portrays a lunatic scientist who abducts women (one a prostitute played by Arlene Francis) and injects them with fresh blood from his vicious caged ape. The atmospheric cinematography by Karl Freund has been singled out by critics as superb, along with Robert Florey's direction. Thanks to Freund and Florey, the film has the look and feel of German expressionist films of the 1920s. However, some strongly violent scenes apparently prompted Universal executives to cut the film back to 61 minutes from what was originally an 80-minute running time. (Source: IMDB)

Interview with the Vampire Trailer

BoneyD says...

One of the best vampire films of all, in my opinion, along with Bram Stokers Dracula (despite a poorly cast Keanu Reeves). Excellent performances and an interesting character perspective, instead of the usual from that of their victims.

Battle Royale - FULL version

raven says...

About that full video rule... I know its been kind of waived for full length dcoumentaries, but there are also a lot of full length movies already posted here...

Personally, I like having them around, especially the older flicks, which, I think go a long way to enhance my collective, and encourage people to see movies they might not even know about, such as:
Roger Corman Gold- Bucket of Blood
Peter Cushing vs Christopher Lee in The Satanic Rites of Dracula
Roger Corman's The Terror
I mean, I would have never even seen this one:
Der Golem Considered the First Horror Film
Personally, I'd be cool with allowing ALL movies to be posted, but I understand why you guys wouldn't want the sift to become some kind of online Blockbuster video... so if you're going to start cracking down on movies can we at least make an exclusion for Public Domain films? That way, the older, more obscure stuff could stick around.
