Serious? He made an embarassingly David-Brent-ish joke when he opened his odious mouth.

I think quite the opposite - that the only thing stopping this idiot, joke, fool of a man from making a worse hash of so many things has been the people around him.

Even aside from the infrastructure, the image of America has suffered so badly. When i was 8 years old, if you'd told me that Britain stood shoulder to shoulder with America, i'd have been proud. But now, i feel like the friend of a bully - along for the ride because i'd rather have him inside my tent pissing out. And half of me wants to say "Fuck you, stop acting like such an asshole" and just take the flak i know i'll get, because he keeps going slightly too far, and people keep going slightly further to accomodate him.

Well i think it's both. For me, the humour is all in the uneducated, inappropriate and completely ridiculous ideas they have about it. The way that David Brent has no clue how discriminatory he is being, just because he says the politically correct words, doesn't mean he understands anything. It's one of many scenes that tries to point out how stupid people are sometimes

I love how David Brent imagines the only reason men would flip a woman over is to possibly communicate with them OR just to look at their breasts. Haha! Great show, and a big upvote for posting something from the Christmas Special.

I think I just prefered it when he was an extra. Plus he seems to be morphing into David Brent ever so slightly.
