I had no idea what Castle Crashers was (I'm a PC gamer,) so when I clicked the link to this video on bluesnews.com (the best gaming news website on the planet,) I expected to see an actual historical video about new evidense about history castle sieging that had put doubt into what we knew.


Then I started watching the video. With confusion at first, and constant laughing after I realized what they were actually talking about.

The crazy guy at the end put me over the top. I am still laughing.

As much as it's annoying to see the press fawning over the leaders, this was fun.

I love the report from the CSM:

"The Daily Guidance from the White House said “12:30 lunch in Oval Office, closed press.”
But now we know better. By “we,” I mean the White House press corps, where this reporter had pool duty Tuesday.
Those wild and crazy guys at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue summoned the motorcade, and off we went across the Roosevelt Bridge into Arlington, Va., to Ray’s Hell Burger — a joint so new it still doesn’t have a sign up.
Obama and Biden entered through the front door. The press pool — yours truly included — entered through the back. At least Barack and Joe didn’t pull rank and cut the line: The leaders of the free world, all spiffed up in suits and ties, stood patiently with the regular lunch crowd, waiting their turn.
Obama then looked toward the pool and said, “Who’s taking orders here? My treat to the pool.”

Some declined, but others didn’t want to seem ungracious, so we ordered burgers. (Note: The five of us who did order are making a donation to charity, in lieu of attempting to reimburse POTUS. Caren noted that Obama has fed the press before, such as during the campaign, when he bought ice cream.)
While Obama and Biden waited in line, the lunch crowd stood and gawked, some took pix with cell phones. The two guys in line ahead of them studied their menus, oblivious to who was behind them.
When Obama and Biden reached the front, Obama greeted the two order-takers. A guy named Tim Murray took Obama’s order.

Then Obama took an order for his body guy, Reggie Love, and relayed the press’s order as well.
“These are to go, ‘cuz you guys aren’t gonna have tables.” Then: “We’re paying, or these people [the pool] are gonna write about how we’re free-loading.”
Obama pulled out some bills and paid, putting a $5 bill in the tip jar.
Biden ordered a Swiss cheese burger with jalapeno peppers. Biden paid for his order separately, with cash. He also got some food to go.
Then Obama said to the pool: “You guys are cheap dates. I can’t believe I couldn’t get more of you to order a burger.”
Obama and Biden sat at a table and had their lunch, while the pool waited outside. At 1:05, they emerged. Crowds cheered as Obama stood on the running board of his limo and waved.
Motorcade back at White House at 1:14 pm. Obama and Biden emerged from the same limo. No doubt they were prepping for the next event on their calendar — a closed-press meeting with President Shimon Peres of Israel.
I closed my pool report with: “I’m still waiting for my burger.” But I just heard from the pool minder, Ben Finkenbinder, who says my burger is waiting for me.
Gotta run."

Funny stuff.

What they didn't do was show the result of what would have happened if the crazy guy pulled a gun, and NO ONE ELSE in the room was armed... Of course, that would have annihiliated the propoganda point of "this is why civilians shouldn't carry guns..." As usual, I'll ignore the mainstream media's biased point of view here. They have no credibility, and therefore anything/everything they say has to be winnowed carefuly.

The lesson I choose to take away is this... "American civilians need to be better trained in firearm usage."

Shit. I thought when she shouted "BURN THE BOOKS!!!" that she was doing a funny parody of the crazy guy who had stood up, and everyone else was feeling a little awkward waiting for him to stop and sit down, (and the burn the books shout was to relieve the tension a little). Then they can get on with the more believable angry paranoia type stuff.
But they're all taking this in and I presume generally agreeing with it.

I actually am a teacher sometimes, though not currently. I bounce between freelance musician, band director, drum instructor, film composer, arranger and substitute teacher to pay the bills.

bf, you are talking about giving federal funds to private schools, right? If so, then that is closely related to vouchers and I'm generally against it.

If by choice you mean charter schools, home schooling, private schools, religious schools and whatever other types of schools available that I'm leaving out, then your wish has already come true and I have no gripe with you.

Citizens (mainly parents) hold a lot of sway for change and choice at the local level. A hand full of organized parents (or concerned citizens) can do some pretty amazing things (and occasionally some horrible things). Unhappy parents will make a principal's life a living hell.

There are more options for influencing education than going to the polls each year, if you are not opposed to getting your hands dirty. If you want to make positive change in your local school system, attend your local weekly school board meeting. If there is something you don't like, speak up about it. If you don't act like the crazy guy in the vid you just submitted, they will take you seriously. If they don't, then turn up the heat, after all these meetings are televised. These elected official don't have a lot of money and can be easily toppled if proven ineffective or corrupt. You could even run for school board yourself.

All the cops had to do, was to grapple the guy, not beating him senseless with a stick when he's already on the ground. Such primitive cops... don't they learn to handle guys like this, without causing injuries? There are plenty of ways to put a guy down on the ground, specially when there are two cops! They should take a trip to a mental hospital, and see how a couple of nurses handles a crazy guy.

If i may say so, he's a suitable successor for Carlin. You know, the whole crazy guy on the corner spouting gibberish thing. Only the gibberish is more truthful than anything a politician would have the balls to say.

I want to see that crazy guy.

I don't know if you recognize me or not, but I've been following your "Throw Away Your TV" blog for a year or two now. Much respect.

Anyway, a friend on VideoSift has brought to my attention a vile and despicable video. It is not funny and borders (if not runs over) the line of pedophilia. My younger sister was a victim of similar abuse so this really pushes a button with me.

I know you usually post political stuff, and I wouldn't normally think of asking you this, but I feel that it needs more attention. This pervert needs to be exposed. The problem is, the video only has 3 upvotes, probably because it was posted by a lesser-known member. Is there any way you could promote it or re-post it to give it some exposure? I've seen Sifters find out more information about things like this - the show, who the guy is, who we can contact - so I think it would help.

The uncertainty principal is awesome. This video doesn't really get deep into it. There are many fascinating things about it.
