Much like snoozedoctor said, you fail at economics if you think returning the gold standard would do anything other than cripple our country. If you want to talk about fractional reserve banking, maybe you could have something resembling an intelligent discourse, but supporting the gold standard just represents a shocking lack of understanding about economics for someone that wants to be President.

I want to just post the same thing to every Ron Paul thread, since the same stuff seems to come up again and again, but I'm not sure what video sifts policy on that is. Instead I'll just post some links with the heading:

God if I were a mod here I would attach the links at the end of this post to every single stupid Ron Paul video ever sifted into the top 15. His views are not based in reality. As much as I want someone to believe in, to change everything wrong with government, RON PAUL IS NOT THAT MAN HE IS CRAZY. Ron Paul seems like a guy to get in there and shake things up, fixing all the problems of our current bloated military industrial complex, misguided, uneducated government. But I encourage anybody to do a little research before they start supporting this guy. He is crazy. Go ahead and do some research on why he is supported by Stormfront. His thoughts on separation of church and state. What returning to the gold standard would do to the economy. Also the "We the People" act would be really cool because then states could ban homosexuality, abortions, mixed raced marriages and re-segregate their schools. (51% of Alabama thinks inter-racial marriage should be illegal at a state level)
