Brilliant Audi custom slot car installation in Canada
*quality german automobile, the Audi Quattro is one of my dream cars.
A bit of snow is not going to stop the mighty Audi
You might find the following also interesting:
As many now, "Quattro" started as a specific Audi Model, introduced 1980. The huge success and fame of this model led to the "Quattro" suffix of all the following AWD Audis. But funny enough the original Audi Quattro (or "Ur-Quattro" in German) was planned to be named Audi Carat, an acronym for "Coupe All-Rad-Antrieb Turbo" which translates to "all wheel drive turbo coupe". But Audi tossed that because of a perfume of that time with a rather questionable target group's image...
Always thought it was funny that Audi chose the *Italian* word for four...
although I guess Audi Vier doesn't sound as good.
Best of Rally
The Audi Quattro sounds like a dragon having epic diarrhea. Pure 5 cylinder awesomeness.
Ayrton Senna's footwork
His footwork looks rather clean and controlled, very polished.
Personally, I prefer the more chaotic approach where they don't keep their left foot on the clutch at all times, but rather switch between left-foot-braking and the heel-and-toe-technique. An example, of course, would be the onboard madness from Walter Roehrl, driving an Audi Quattro in the early '80s. Ignore the cheesy music and watch the insanity at 1:12-1:22 amongst others.
I know you can't drive like this!
Hey, I don't make this stuff up.
From Wikipedia:
quattro (four in Italian) is a registered trademark of Audi AG for all wheel drive (AWD) systems used on Audi brand automobiles. quattro was first introduced in 1980 on the permanent-AWD Audi Quattro and has since been applied to all AWD models that Audi sells. Due to the trademark, the name is always spelled with a lower case "q".
So technically, I misspelled it.
