24 Things Nobody Does Better Than Donald Trump

kceaton1 jokingly says...

I also said that if Trump got in office that JUST perhaps we deserved it as a country, but I did expect more fallout for the South (sorry, that is where the Trumpsters are) and 'Shotgun-w/a-Jesus-Land', of course, I live in a state that almost became Schizophrenic (did I say "almost") in the last election due to what was going on...you know: Utah...

Let me go ask Trump what type of sub-machine gun the Budha would use; and also what type of gun Gandhi was famous for using in his marches near the Sinai River from Kathmandu all the way to Istanbul, and finally going home while he traveled upon the Great Agra that took him to New Delhi!

I'm sure Trump would readily admit it was the Nambu Type 14-1927 semi-automatic sidearm. Made famous in so many Hollywood and Bollywood movies...

As I've said all along, we would be far better off with Nobody as president. A bit odd that Trump agrees, though.

Revoke BP's Corporate Charter

What's to keep this from becoming the status quo if it isn't already? This, in a nutshell, is why I fear the Ron Paul Love-o-lution. Foxconn could not happen today in America because of regulations, but with each little bit of accountability that republicans, libertarians and democrats strip away, the closer we get.

You vote with your wallet, that's how. If you don't like the Foxconn way of business stop buying their products. It's more powerful and effective than any politician will ever be.

In a world where the most abusive corporations are the most successful, where wage slavery, layoffs and outsourcing equal Wall Street success, where Wal*Mart is the President of our consumerist democracy, the concept of "voting with you wallet" is impotent to the point of meaningless.

Foxconn makes products for both Apple and Microsoft, so people who want to vote against Foxconn with their wallets don't get to use computers or the internet. No food from big agra either, or drugs from big pharma, so dissenting members of a consumerist democracy don't get the luxury of produce or medicine.

Consumerism is not an effective form of democracy. "Voting with your wallet" is the kind of pseudo-populist nonsense that corporate think tanks come up with to manipulate gullible people. I'm surprised how successful they are in getting regular folks to regurgitate their propaganda, but I guess that's why they get the big bucks. A world champion has no business regurgitating this kind of propaganda.

India To Sue Bangladesh over Taj Mahal

nomino says...

The Indian embassy in Bangladesh has voiced its displeasure over the exact copy - and is hoping to sue for copyright infringement.

A spokesman at the Indian High Commission in Dhaka fumed: "You can't just go and copy historical monuments.

"Someone will go out there and have a look. The reports we are reading say it is an exact replica."

The £38m building, commissioned by wealthy director Ahsanullah Moni, will be located about 20 miles north east of the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.

Construction began five years ago but Mr Moni says he came up with the idea in 1980 after first visiting the original "Monument to Love" in Agra, India.

He has imported marble and granite from Italy, diamonds from Belgium and used 160kg of bronze for the dome.

In support of his project, he said: "Everyone dreams about seeing the Taj Mahal but very few Bangladeshis can make the trip because it's too expensive for them."

Tofumar: Solid Gold! (Politics Talk Post)

Tofumar says...

Thanks all! I'm glad to be part of the community. A few things:

1) I have never taken any pill with a name that ends in "agra." Never ever.

2) It aint just my avatar that's bald.

3) I have never taken a wiz on NetRunner's shoes, nor would I ever do such a thing.

4) "Manbaby" is my new favorite verb. You have all been warned.

5) Snake-eating spiders are indeed political. But they are not nearly so political as a Conservative-eating block of soy product. Yeah. Think about that for awhile.

6) Numbers 1 and 3 above are outright lies.

7) I'm still lurking...right behind you.

[Pres] user submitted question for CNN/YouTube Debates

choggie says...

Well, as president, I would promise to drag pharmaceutical company's CEO's, into the street, and bludgeon them to death with a human femur, on national television....

I would then put agri-business, back into the hands of local and regional farmers, then repeat step one, with the CEO's of Con-Agra, Archer-Daniels Midland, Dow chemicals, and their many subsidiaries....

I would then outlaw fast-food restaurants (slow-death troughs) replacing them with memorials to the fallen.

I would then bring an awareness of the human condition full-circle, through subsidizing holistic, naturopathic, and nutritional awareness.

I would do away with the FDA.

I would create, in short, a country, where fools need not rely on the establishment for their peace of mind, rather, their own awareness of systems already in place, which could give them less fear of living, and more confidence in dying.

Sorry about the cancer, an unfortunate combination of unhealthy living, genetic predisposition, and a nation fucked from birth, with business-as-usual, diversion.
