My Favorite Movie (Star Trek vs. Star Wars)
budzosNo, it wasn't a remake of Hidden Fortress. The story was strongly inspired by Hidden Fortress. The style of Star Wars was mainly an update of the old 30s and 40s serials (Flash Gordon was one of them).

InvaderSilHoly crap! That was awesome! Episode III would have been great as a 40s serial. It would have seemed less dumb when we watched it 60 years later.
