Mechwarrior 5 trailer
Fuck all that.
I want the game I first played. The original Mechwarrior. 1989. EGA and all, baby.
Ah, my wasted youth.
Corey Feldman wears Michael Jackson suit to Memorial (Blog Entry by JiggaJonson)
Feldman showed his Michael Jackson obsession in this dance scene from the 1989 film "Dream a Little Dream." Most of the sound is not from the film however.

I also spotted another dance clip from the 1995 sequel:

Tiananmen Square: The Man Who Stopped the Tank
It is quite ironic and tragic that 1989 protests delayed political reforms indefinitely. The failure to negotiate with protesters peacefully in the first 5 weeks was an excuse to remove the moderate elements of the communist party from power, putting a halt to any hope of political reform following the then recent economic reforms.
I wonder what these protesters think now, knowing that their noble but misguided efforts ended up doing more harm than good in the long run. All they accomplished was to remind the government to invest in non-lethal weapons and riot control training.
Patrick Stewart on Extras

The Onion did it, about 6 years ago (it's right at the end): http://www.theonion.com/content/node/27899
I dont see anything about this vid in your link. Spammer?
Ahem.
"The Hammurderer is quickly becoming regarded as the worst-received advertising mascot since Kool-Aid's 1989 discontinuation of "The Grapist," a huge purple monster who sodomizes thirsty children."
But it was right at the end. Maybe I should have indicated that in my fist post in some way.
Senator Specter's Statement on Leaving the Republican Party
The republican party has been moving further and further to the right, and it's a good reason for the more moderate republicans to abandon the party.
Firstly - the Republican party has been going further LEFT since 1988. Blue Dogs, RINOs, and 'compassionate conservative' Republicans have pulled the party to the point where it is indistinguishable from the Democrat party on many fundamental issues. Not, all issues of course. But certainly enough when you can EASILY say that the party is more liberal in 2009 compared to 1989 or 1999. To state that the Republican party has been drifing further 'right' is complete and utter baloney.
And second of all... Specter is not now and NEVER was a 'moderate' Republican. What a joke. Specter is a liberal RINO and he's been that for decades.
I know why Democrats and news pundits are doing this. They want it to look like Poor Mr. Innocent 'Moderate' Specter was abandoned by the evil hardcore rightwing Republican party. Boo hoo - what's a 'modeate' to do? Sob - guess all people who say they're 'moderate' better become Democrats...
Except that's total BS.
What is really happening is that Specter is a LIBERAL. And since he acts more like a liberal democrat, he is getting de-pantsed in his primary by a more conservative cantidate... He's losing because he behaves more like a Democrat when he was supposed to be Republican.
He isn't losing because he's a moderate being abandoned by right-wing radicals. He's losing because he is a left-wing radical being abandoned by moderates.
Disturbing Strokes (Creepy Audio Intro)

Three of the child stars ended up having problems after the show ended. Dana Plato went on to pose for Playboy, and also appeared in softcore films. She was later arrested twice (once for armed robbery, again for forging a prescription for Valium). She died of a drug overdose in 1999 at the age of 34.[2]
Todd Bridges was arrested in 1994 after allegedly ramming someone's car after an argument.[3] He also had issues with illegal drugs for several years, before turning his life around. He has since traveled across the U.S.A., touring schools discussing the dangers of drug use.[4]
In 1989, Gary Coleman sued his parents and his former manager over misappropriation of his trust fund. Although he was awarded over $1,000,000 in the decision, he filed for bankruptcy in 1999. Coleman was charged with assault in 1998 after he punched a woman while he was working as a security guard at a shopping mall. In 2001, Coleman (still working as a security guard) was videotaped trying to stop a vehicle from entering the mall. The driver ridiculed him, and released the tape to be broadcast on numerous television shows.[5] In the mid-2000s, Coleman lent his voice and likeness to the controversial videogame Postal2. In 2007, Coleman was cited for disorderly conduct in Provo, Utah for having a "heated discussion" with a woman.[6]
