I think it gets a little too "busy" with the icon. I do love that the charter color is used.

The only issues I see with this so far is sometimes the charter colors don't jive with the colored backgrounds (I like my VideoSift in night mode) and perhaps the @ sign can also be colored and bolded along with the username? The @ sign by itself seems a little out of place:

I rather they didn't. The name and color is more than enough.

I like the idea of having the name colored, but there are some issues with the way it is right now. For one thing, the status icon's height is greater than the line height, resulting in ugly shifting when there's a status icon between lines (example: @campionidelmondo ). It looks to cluttered with the colord nick and the icon, especially on charter colored comment boxes. It also seems to break conversations?

Charter colors, yes; star icons, no. We get enough reminders of the pecking order as it is.

Another thing: Now that this feature exists, I'm sure siftbot himself could make good use of it. He often mentions usernames in his comments.

@Ornthoron has a good idea about siftbot's comments except it would result in over-emailage since @nickname mentions are now kicking off email notifications to the mentioned user and siftbot usually does the same.

How about a dimmer? The brighter yer bling, the brighter yer username?
