Should @usernames Include Star Icons?

We just implemented @maatc's super-awesome suggestion that allows you to simply prefix any member's username with @ and it will turn the username into a link (a la twitter).

Vote yes to keep the star icons or vote no to keep the links simple with just the username and no star icon.

The only issues I see with this so far is sometimes the charter colors don't jive with the colored backgrounds (I like my VideoSift in night mode) and perhaps the @ sign can also be colored and bolded along with the username? The @ sign by itself seems a little out of place:

That's just me though.

I like the gems though. Adds some more color to the comments.

I like the idea of having the name colored, but there are some issues with the way it is right now. For one thing, the status icon's height is greater than the line height, resulting in ugly shifting when there's a status icon between lines (example: @campionidelmondo ). It looks to cluttered with the colord nick and the icon, especially on charter colored comment boxes. It also seems to break conversations?
