I'm Home YAY!
Damn it was hot in S.C. The temp on a bank sign I drove by one day read 100 F. I don't miss that at all. I tried to sneak some neighbor's wi-fi a time or two, but never got a signal nice enough to sift.
My drive was uneventful. I had never noticed before how many crosses there are down there. There was a semi truck behind us once that had a large illuminated cross that covered the grill. Was this to save him from crashes? The kids and I made up songs and jokes to "Jesus Truck" for about 50 miles.
I must say Indiana has much better summer weather. I'm glad to be home.
Ok, time to dish. I want to hear all the stuff I've missed in the last 10 days

So....where are the souvenirs?
Welcome back to the Carolinas.
Welcome back!
Well, some of us got haircuts... Not that YOU'D notice *sob*. I'll be in my room! I hope you find me DEAD!
(Edit: Sorry these moods swings are getting out of hand.)
Thanks guys.
Hmm, KP I gotta think a bit on those souvenirs, does a heat rash count? There was very little alcohol purchasing or the Fundie alarms would go off and they'd find me.
And Gorgonheaps get haircuts?
biggest news in the last ten days for me (sorry it has nothing to do with vs but it's big news none the less)...drumroll....I actually finished tiling my guest bathroom!!!!!! yeay!!!!
glad you're back!
Yay! Welcome back, SwampyG! We'll have to post some travel blogs about our trips.
DFT and I were in Montana for the month of July, and it was beautiful and the weather was very nice too (highs in the 70s-80sF). The only things that sucked were the GINORMOUS mosquitoes, and the discovery of my extreme sensitivity to the high elevation. I felt nausea and sick for 2 whole days when I got there, but it suddenly went away... and then hit again when we visited Glacier Nat'l Park, which is even higher than where we were staying!
