billy thorpe's classic rock tune from 1979 set to an animated short about a post-apocalyptic world and an unknown virus.what a great tune that i had all but forgotten.

I'm not sure who made this animation, but I put the music to it. This is a short animated film about an unknown virus that has destroyed almost the entire human population. Oblivious to the true nature of the disease, the only remaining survivors escape to the sea. In great ships, they set off in search of uninhabited land. So begins the exodus, led by one man ...

Children of the Sun, which peaked in the top 40 of the Billboard Pop Album chart in 1979, was released by Billy Thorpe. While researching more on Billy and this song, I was shocked to find out he passed away on February 28th, 2007. He was only age 60 and had a massive heart attack. His song will live on in my heart forever as one of the most amazing space operas ever done. I couldn't find anything about artists that played with him on this album. Rest in Peace always Billy.
