University of Leeds lecture: Senator George Mitchell

The Leeds International Peace Lecture is held in memory of the late Swedish Prime Minister, Olof Palme, a leader and campaigner for peace and human rights, who was assassinated in 1986.

Apart from this lecture, given by the former US Senator George Mitchell, previous lecturers include actor Patrick Stewart and the Nobel Peace Laureate, John Hume.
