The Rock-afire Explosion (full movie 2008)

One of my favorite places to go when I was a kid was Showbiz Pizza. It was a great place to have your birthday in the early eighties with games, rides, and of course having a slice of pizza while watching your favorite animatronic characters perform. Unfortunately Showbiz profits began to dwindle as the video game industry began to crash due to an over abundance of quickly thrown together games. Showbiz bought the competition Chuck E Cheese and made a bid to acquire the rights to the characters of the Rock-afire from Creative Engineering. The owner of Creative Engineering did not want to sale the Rock-afire rights away due to the companies desire to dismantle the animatronic show but keep the characters. Because of this Showbiz decided to rebrand from Showbiz to Chuck E Cheese and slowly converted the characters over to Chuck E Cheese characters. Eventually most of the Rock-afire shows were dismantled and only a hand full of shows remain today. This documentary is about a couple of fans love for the Rock-afire animatronics and the re-emergence of Rock-afire on youtube covering new songs that led to the MGMT video of "Electric Feel".
