So--just like Spinal Tap---The Leningrad Cowboys were a band created to make a movie about---only, the movie and band went viral and then suddenly; the band was real thing. Post 1989, I just you just had to make a buck however you could.

This is old footage, but geez, it's just a cultural mash up beyond description.
