The French thank John McCain for Airbus contract?

From Think Progress: Earlier this month, Northrop Grumman and the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co. (EADS), the parent company of France-based Airbus, won a $40 billion Air Force tanker contract, beating out Boeing, DOD’s usual go-to company for Air Force contracts. Some of Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) presidential campaign advisers lobbied for EADS while actions by McCain himself helped the deal go through. The contract would create thousands of jobs for Airbus and thus the French have a message for McCain: “Merci.” Watch this new video from the Campaign for America’s Future:

Ahaha, That's surely not a french speaking. Thanks McCain by the way if he is really the one who helped the deal.
And what is the whole "Campaign for America" stuff? Who is behind?

Interesting...

I was listening to NPR about this issue and they mentioned that giving the contract to Airbus actually brought more jobs to the US. Boeing didn't have a reply to that portion of the interview.

Ha ha ha. Erm. Cough. OK, how can I present this.

Can you honestly imagine French people displaying any kind of popular support for a right-wing American?

Good. Me neither.

1st Point : The guy's speaking french with a big english accent.

2nd Point : The EADS' deal with DOD won't create a SINGLE job here (or perhaps an overpaid 'special adviser' job-thing).
