Free site, I highly recommend it. We've traded many craptastic cookbooks and games we never play for stuff we actually want and use.

In Canada, there are Freecycle sites where people offer stuff up for grabs, and others put out feelers to see if they can get what they need. Excellent thing. The Ottawa one seems pretty active and people give away clothes, plants, construction material, appliances, anything you can think of really.
