Star Wars Episode VII Trailer - George Lucas Special Edition

Ask a die-hard Star Wars fan about the last two decades of 'special editions' and prequels, and they'll probably tell you the same thing: George Lucas has been ruining Star Wars for years.

This sounds counterintuitive, but it's fairly accurate. Lucas, despite his role as the architect of the beloved Star Wars universe, has been going back and fiddling with his old films for years, particularly with CGI additions to the original trilogy in the 1997 release of the Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition, which included animated Jabba the Hut, animated TIE Fighters, and other animated goodies — all of which looked excessive and awkward against the grittiness of the original film.
