Sort of crazy test for surgical residents in Japan...

Well--it looks likes the stress-test interview that tech companies (Google? Google are you out there?) and the nuclear Navy (Rickover's nuclear officer interviews) use/used might have come to Japan and the entrance exam for a surgical residency.

Or this is a highly unique and bizarre fake.

Interesting approach if it's real.

I might also add something; see if the semifinalists can talk a bunch of unrelated, random children into doing something that requires cooperation and team work. Because, oddly, modern medicine needs that. Not that everyone else on the team is a child; but if you're going to make it hard, you might as well....anyway, you get it.
