Rodrigo Y Gabriela Live at Scala

NPR just broadcast a great interview with this amazing duo. They got their start busking for tourists in Mexico and later Ireland and around Eorope. They cite heavy metal music as one of their biggest influences!!! Listen to the NPR interview here:

This act is phenomenal live. They really get the crowd riled up and the rhythms and bass they evoke are incindeary.

Gabrielas speaking voice was driving me wild during the piece on NPR.

Tags changed from "flamenco,rythym,guitar,mexico,hot" to "flamenco, rhythm, guitar, mexico, hot" by gold star member sbchapm.

its not flamenco, can someone remove that tag?

A tag is a tag is a tag. If a person likes flamenco, chances are they might like R Y G's music. I felt it was a better choice than jazz/heavy metal/fusion/etc. However, I understand your objection to the tag krumzy and add this from Rodgrigo y Gabriela's website (http://www.rodgab.com/history.htm) :

Mentions of flamenco influences raise sharp responses: "To many music fans, it sounds like flamenco, and we're great flamenco fans, but we don't play it" says Gabriela. "The only similarity is that our music is guitar music and it's very rhythmic."

That being said, the tag stays.
