Things are a lot worse than we thought.

The rightwing in America has gone out of their fucking minds.

They're all about morality and freedom and Jesus.

But, gawd they love their torture, their war, their dead civilians, their one-sided radio, their television sponsored by the very corporations who are making a mint off these illegal wars.

Take this to heart: Nader is right.

We're either past the tipping point, or everybody is so wigged-out with paranoia that America has become a political no-man's land.

The meeting at the Jones Library in Amherst, Massachusetts on July 5, 2007 was anything but routine. Seated before Cong. John Olver (D-MA) were twenty seasoned citizens from over a dozen municipalities in this First Congressional District which embraces the lovely Berkshire Hills.

The subject—impeachment of George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney.

The request—that Cong. Olver join the impeachment drive in Congress.

More than just opinion was being conveyed to Cong. Olver, a then 70 year old Massachusetts liberal with a Ph.D. in chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. These Americans voted overwhelmingly during formal annual town meetings in 14 towns and two cities in the First District endorsing resolutions to impeach the President and Vice President.

Presented in the form of petitions to be sent to the Congress, the approving citizenry cited at least four “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

They included the initiation of the Iraq war based on defrauding the public and intentionally misleading the Congress, spying on Americans without judicial authorization, committing the torture of prisoners in violation of both federal law and the U.N. Torture Convention and the Geneva Convention, and stripping American citizens of their Constitutional rights by jailing them indefinitely without charges and without access to legal counsel or even an opportunity to challenge their imprisonment in a court of law.

Forty towns in Vermont and the State Senate had already presented their Congressional delegation with similar petitions...Read More..

Every day that the Naders whine for their supper is a good one. Every day fat-f--k do-nothing leeches like Ted "Chappaquiddick" Kennedy, Al Crapton, William Jefferson Felon and his unpleasant screeching harridan sham-wife are frowning is a good day for everyone who appreciates freedom and not losing everything to a federal mafia.

The real tyrants of the world are the socialists who want to put the brakes on the capitalism that has brought prosperity to so many people that a permanent underclass of parasites also thrives.

The real tyrants hide behind phony environmental crusades, wars against humanity not for the sake of the planet, but for a small group of self-anointed elites.

The real tyrants argue for appeasement, peace through surrender to the world's second-raters, jihadists, kleptocrats, communists.

Keeping these do-gooders and power-hungry parasites away from the reigns of power is a never-ending battle. Keep the frown on the Jackass Party.

Though on that note, it might be worthwhile for those of a similar mind to notice that the Kennedy, Clinton, and so on crowd are on his side here. They don't seem to want to pursue legal action in most of these cases either. Just make enough noise to get themselves elected but keep the powers in place if they can.

Might be worth considering what a Clinton or Kennedy type with broad wiretap authority and the ability to declare you an enemy on their own judgment might mean to him and his friends too. One of our biggest mistakes as a people is in forgetting that our own rights are only as safe as we guarantee the rights of others to be. Once the principle is compromised it's just a matter of who holds the reigns of power, what you love so much today could be what you hate tomorrow.

I just hope they've got the grace to at least feel embarrassed and take responsibility if they end up hating the very powers they so strongly support now simply because power changes hands. The problem wasn't in who is abusing it, but that it's being abused at all. There's a good reason why so many have crossed both party and military/intelligence branch lines to speak out these days, the hard core party loyalists in the crowd seem the exception to me.
