RMR: The Wheat Board is Toast

RMR informs us of the demise of the Canadian Wheat Board. "The CWB was re-created in 1935 the aim of controlling grain prices, so as to benefit farmers devastated by the great depression" (wikipedia.) But with the rising cost of food and agressive futures trading, The Harper Government™ has decided that the CWB is no longer necessary.

The public Wheat Board will also be allowed to become a private for-profit corporation. /Calgary Herald
