Wouldn't it stand to reason that these devout SOB's should never appear in stories like these, at least if you go along with the notion that a religious person is synonymous with a person who is devotional, devout, divine, god-fearing, godly, holy, moral, pious, prayerful, priestly, pure, reverent, righteous, saintlike, saintly, etc., or is this merely a problem with semantics, and our dictionaries and thesauruses are wrong?

What does this clown's being a pastor have to do with anything? Why that's like blaming chairman mao and stalin for being murderous tyrants because they were atheists.

Hi QM, I think you missed my point entirely. The term murderous tyrant most definitely describes the actions of a Mao or Stalin. Thanks anyway.

I don't know why MikesHL submitted this. Maybe he likes murder stories, or enjoys exposing the hypocrisy of "all Christians" or simply wants a higher submission 'score'. Whatever the reason, it's here on the sift now.

My comment was directed more at the video, but Re: your comment, I assume you're pointing out the flaw of religion, that professing belief in God or Christ gives the user a "free pass" when it comes to goodness or morality, at least among other Christians. Is this what offends thee?

Answering your query directly, No, there is no reason to believe a Christian religious leader is more moral than a regular Christian or atheist. It's a matter of expectations. We expect police officers to adhere to a higher moral standard than regular people. We know they "all" do not. Actions and behavior demonstrate character, not labels or badges.
