Passive dynamic walker

An example of a passive dynamic walker. These are mechanical constructions that can walk without any form of power or control systems, instead being powered by inertia and gravity.

This demonstrates how much of human motion is determined by the mechanical properties of the body, rather than direct brain control. Compare this with robots such as the Sony Qrio, where tremendous processing power is required to recreate these kinds of fluid motions.
