Mutegi the cat jumps 7 feet!

This is Mutegi (pronounced 'mo-the-gee'), aka: 'Mo'. Mutegi is a 20-month old F1 Savannah cat who can jump like no other cat I've ever seen. Mo's very shy around strangers, so most people don't get to see him put on a show like this. And this is definitely something you'll have to see to believe!!

Savannahs are a hybrid between a domestic cat and African serval. The "F" designation refers to which generation the hybrid animal is. The "F1" designation means that Mutegi is a "first generation" animal - In other words, he's a direct offspring of a domestic cat and a serval (making him 50% serval). An F2 Savannah would be the offspring of an F1 Savannah female and a domestic male (and subsequently, 25% serval).

How the heck did this not get sifted? This is exactly the kind of cat vid that needs to get sifted. It's clever, informative (never heard of Savannah cats before), and has amazing footage. I'm sick of cat vids that just show some cats with big eyes sitting in a corner for 2 minutes. More like this please!

Also probably needs a * music tag.
