Measure the snow, help the planet!

"How much snow is on the ground where you are? Cryosphere researchers want to know!

Visit http://www.scienceforcitizens.net/changing-planet and report the depth of your snow. All you need is a ruler. If you don't have any snow, just report a depth of zero.

Your data will show up in our world map of snow tweets. How fun!

This project is part of the Changing Planet series in collaboration with the National Science Foundation, NBC News, Discover Magazine, Planet Forward and ScienceForCitizens.net.
