Late for work? How to get ready for work the fun way.

...I hope this was real, no actors cept' her,...you'd think, from their TV shows, the Japs would have been in stiches??? But Noo! Everything must have a context and an acceptable place....hence, the file-out, and away from the crazy woman...from the individual will.... taller than everyone else, and female...all aspects screaming "Not Right" to the Culture....this rocks!!!

Now I know how to clear a subway in Japan, faster than a Guru with Ricin!

Shave my pubes on the Bullet Train!!!

Choggie, unless I'm terribly mistaken, I believe this is a subway in China, specifically Hong Kong, not Japan.

As it stands, however, I would say both Japanese and Chinese cultures are still very heavily traditional and strict in terms of some social norms. Is it so much stranger for people to shuffle away from a woman shaving her legs on the subway than to have random men walk up to her and start rubbing themselves on her?

*shakes head* Away with you.

Anyways, I was doing a search to confirm that this was in Hong Kong (it was, and additionally, she was the only one in on the joke) and I found this little story:

"A one-paragraph newspaper article describes a subway platform during the morning rush hour at Grand Central Terminal. A train pulls in; a well-dressed woman gets off. Before the doors close, the woman realizes that she is holding only one of her leather gloves. She looks back into the train and spots the matching one on the seat. It is obviously too late to dash back in to retrieve it, so with a cavalier shrug, she flings her arm out and, the doors about to close, tosses her glove onto the seat alongside its mate. The doors shut, and the train pulls away."

Not really on topic, but I thought it was too good to not share.
