I recently lost a 12 and a half year old female, half pit bull and half blue heeler. Picked her up abused from the pound, prior owner wanted a tough dog I guess and she looked the part. once she got over the fear that I might be like him she wanted nothing more than to crawl into a lap. Was a bit grumpy with other animals but never with people. Died a couple of weeks ago. Guess this is a tribute of sorts to her.

I had dealt with them before and always liked them but she was the first I'd owned, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to get another.

Heard about 2 mins. of some talk show, with some tool, talking the same old bullshit story, that pit bulls, are inherently dangerous. This coming from a person who, like most who ascribe to similar nonsense, has no clue as to the workings of the animal mind, which is very simple to control.....bullshit in, bullshit out, for the most part.....this is the same dynamic at work, in an un-trained mutt, or a neurotic chihuahua that licks its defective owner's legs obsessively, or a Dalmation that runs in circles and barks, or a thousand other iterations, of the same, OWNER-GENERATED dysfunction.

The pit bull is an extremely sharp breed-loyal, dedicated to their keepers, and will die trying to please that keeper, regardless of how snafu the domesticated primate is. Would own one, raise it near infants, other animals, etc., with absolute confidence that MY dog, regardless of breed, would harm no-one, unless commanded....except in the case of an attack upon my person, then......fuck the world, the pit will become your nemesis.
