Moving. While the mechanics of life on earth are driven by the usual laws of physics and chemistry, it remains a fact that VERY few natural phenomena are distributed as unevenly in the universe as, it appears, life is, although our ability to detect it is SEVERELY hampered. Due to the limitations placed on us by the physics of motion and the geography of space, we may never know otherwise, but the search will always be exciting. Until we find other examples, our pocket of humanity will remain a miracle of creation, divine or chemically inevitable, whatever your flavor.
