Fringes of Film-Bill Viola's "The Reflecting Pool" (1977-79)

If there is enough interest, I am going to keep on posting a bunch of my favorite experimental films. I am starting out with Viola's "The Reflecting Pool," a video essay on issues ranging from man and nature, to the way we view ourselves in the present. Above all, though, this piece really is an exercise in meditative temporal a-specificity via video effects. Hope you enjoy it!
